We hold Open competitions throughout the year and welcome visitors of all abilities to The Links at Fleetwood.

Some events have Handicap Index entry limits depending on the prestige of the event. All limits are stated in the Terms of Competition. We do not accept entries outside the range.
The website will allow entries +2.0 over the limit to account for Index fluctuations before the event to allow for player improvement. Maximum Playing Handicap limits are applied.
Events in 2025 will include:
The Spencer Trophy - 36 hole gentlemen's nett medal - Reverting to it's original format for low single figure golfers.
The Links Trophy - A 36 hole mixed scratch medal - Ballot event.
The Newton Jubilee - 18 hole gentlemen's mid-handicap medal.
Various pair's events for Gentlemen, Ladies, Mixed Team & Senior golfers.
The Wyre Festival - A four player team event held over two days in conjunction with Knott End Golf Club.
9 hole mixed singles open.
Junior singles open for boys and girls.

Sign up for all events is online only using your CDH number or via the entry form emailed to us.
Players from outside England will need to use the entry form and email it to us.
Telephone entries are not accepted, if you have any issues please email office@fleetwoodgolf.co.uk marked for the attention of the "Opens Coordinator" or use the entry form below.
iGolf members are not accepted at the current time. You must be a member of a recognised golf club with a Fully Developed Handicap Index.
Sign up will close 4 days in advance. No entries are accepted after this point.
Competitors are emailed all pre-event information and the finalised start sheet.
Tee times may be altered to ensure smooth running of events.
2025 regulations for entry:
Entries are accepted ONLINE ONLY. You can enter via the "Future Competition" links below using your CDH number. Click the name of an event to see the format and Terms of Competition.
A valid CDH number is required for all competitors, each player will require a Fully Developed Handicap Index (i.e. 20 scores on your WHS record) to ensure the integrity of our events.
Handicap Index limits are listed in the competition links. Players without a Fully Developed Handicap may be ineligible for prizes.
You must be a member of a recognised golf club, iGolf members are not accepted at this moment.
How to book a single or multiple tee times
The system will allow you to book two tee times (i.e. up to 8 players depending on the format) if you are a visitor and wish to enter your friends. If you want to book more than two tee times, please divide them amongst yourselves and enter online accordingly or use our entry form link below.
Payment is due on entry by the person making the booking. Any unpaid entries will be deleted automatically. Payment on the day is not accepted. Reserving tee times by telephone is not permitted.
Sign up for events usually closes 4 days in advance unless stated, at which point we email the pre-event information to all competitors. No further bookings are accepted after this point. If you sign up playing partners, please make sure to enter their email address contact details. This ensures you receive all pre-event information after sign up closes.
Automatic reserve list are activated for all events, if the start sheet is full you can still enter to be next in line. Reserves will be allocated when sign up closes and contacted should a player withdraw. Any non-playing reserves will be automatically refunded after the event.
If you have an issue booking, please email office@fleetwoodgolf.co.uk detailing the problem and we will happily assist. Please provide names, CDH numbers and home clubs. Our office is open Monday, Wednesday, Friday, 9am - 1pm.
Results and Prizes
Results and prize amounts will be published online, all entrants will be emailed following the completion of an event.
Winners will be contacted directly the week after with claim details.
We aim to finalise events on the day, but please allow up to 4 days for results.
Independent 2s competition on the day is run by the Pro Shop. Please visit the shop before play to enter.
Claim prizes in the shop after you have entered your score into the touch screen system.
Additional regulations
Players may withdraw themselves via the website and receive a full refund up to the sign-up closing date.
Any withdrawals/no-shows after sign up closes will forfeit any refund to cover administration costs. Refunds and prizes are processed manually in bulk by our Finance Team the week after the event.
After sign up closes, all entrants will be contacted by email with the FGC Code of Conduct, detailing our current club regulations.
All players must adhere to our Code of Conduct and any Local Rules. Any player not following our guidelines will be asked to leave the club and no refund will be given.

Competitions are run under the R&A Rules of Golf.
Ties are decided by card play off. No player may win more than one prize on offer. All trophies remain in the club house.
Caddies are permitted in adult events.
Fore-caddying is not permitted and player's will be subject to disqualification.
The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any applicant. The decision of the Competition Committee on all points will be final.

Scottish Golfers & potentially other countries outside England - Currently the Scottish and English WHS databases are not synched. This may block you entering using the links below.

Please provide your full name, home club and exact Handicap Index. We can enter you manually and you can pay by bank transfer to secure your booking. You will need to bring handicap certificates for all players on the day to ensure the Index is correct in the competition, otherwise you will not be eligible for prizes.
Players who enter online using the links below will have their Index automatically updated in the usual way.
