Captain's Drive-In and Members Competition

The eagle-eyed amongst you, may have spotted that we have added a new competition to the schedule on Saturday 4th May. 

Simon Woodrow, our Captain for 2024-25, has decided to hold a Captain's Drive-In event on this day.  

At 9.30 am on the day, Simon invites all members to watch him attempt to hit 3 tee shots down the 1st hole - crash helmets are optional!!!  He is aiming to raise some funds for the Rossall Point branch of the National Coastwatch Institution based in the lookout tower opposite the 7th fairway.  Members will be invited to guess the total distance of his shots, for a small contribution to his charity, with the person getting closest winning a prize donated by Simon.

At 10.00am there will be an 18 hole 4 person Team Texas Scramble Competition open to all members - there will be a maximum of 26 teams as this is a shotgun start.  Signup for the competition opens at 7.00pm on Thursday 25th April.

At the completion of the competition, sandwiches and chips will be provided for all competitors.
