Please use your English CDH number to enter online using the link below.

The Spencer Trophy - Open Board Competition

Format: Singles Medal, 36 holes, Nett.

Entry group: Male golfers with Fully Developed WHS Index. At this time IGolf members are excluded from our Open Competitions

Course: Men's White.

 

Handicap Index entry restrictions: For the purposes of the competition, the Maximum Playing Handicap is 5 (index 5.1 at Fleetwood). However we accept entries for players with a Handicap Index up to 8.0 which allows for index fluctuations during the season. 

Playing Handicap: Maximum 5.

Tee times: Round 1 : 8:00am - 9:28am (2 tee start).  Your Round 2 tee time will be assigned when sign up closes.

 Complimentary Lunch of Sandwiches and Chips will be provided to all players.

Entry fee: Visitors £35, Members £20.

Prizes: Champion is the best nett score, prize £200. 

Top 5 nett, best gross and various round prizes on offer. 

The Links Salver Trophy will be awarded to the Best Gross.

Prizes are awarded in the form of vouchers. 

Amounts depending on size of field. A player may win only one prize of the highest value. 

 

Results will be published online and all entrants emailed.

There will be a Prize Presentation as soon as possible after completion of Round 2. If any prize winner has left before the presentation, they will be contacted within 24 hours to arrange how to get their prize to them.

 

Independent 2s competition on the day run by the Pro Shop. Please visit the shop before play to enter. You will be contacted directly by the Pro Shop after the event.

Entry method: Online entries only using your CDH number. Non-English players please contact us for assistance. 

Reserves will be allocated when sign up closes and contacted should a player withdraw. Any non-playing reserves will be automatically refunded after the event. 

 

Scorecard Regulations:

Players must enter their scores after play via the touchscreen.

Members may use the igMember app or mobile website.

Any scores not entered into the system immediately following play will not count towards the competition results.

Additional Competition Conditions

Players may withdraw themselves via the website and receive a full refund up to the sign up closing time stated. Any withdrawals/no-shows after sign up closes will forfeit any refund to cover administration costs.

After sign up closes , all entrants will be contacted by email with the tee times draw and FGC Code of Conduct, detailing our current club regulations.

All players must adhere to our Code of Conduct. Any player not following our guidelines will be asked to leave the club and no refund will be given. 

 

Competition is run under the R&A Rules of Golf.

Ties are decided by card play off. No player may win more than one prize on offer. All trophies remain in the club house. 

Caddies are permitted. Fore-caddying is not permitted and player's will be subject to disqualification. 

The Competition Committee reserve the right to refuse entry to any applicant. The decision of the Competition Committee on all points will be final.
