The Links at Fleetwood Golf Club

The image above, shows the positioning of the rifle ranges, used by the battalion, which dates back to 1880. The image is over-layed over the course as it is today, mostly.  None of the homes to the right hand side, existed back then.

A little Fleetwood Golf course history.

The game of golf has been played in Fleetwood since 1861, when officers from the barracks played for "The Olympic" on the dunes by the North Euston hotel. Three sites of golf have been used in the town until our current location was opened in 1932. The course is a traditional seaside links, with subtle undulations and punishing rough, rewarding accuracy off the tee. We have four sets of tees blue, red, yellow, white offering golfers of all ages and abilities the chance to enjoy true links golf.
